I experience beauty and creativity as an ordinary and necessary part of life.

I create to connect to beauty and its spirit of transformation.

My painting is personal, but my inspiration is the connection with those that feel resonance and find their own stories in my work.

I have been painting and creating with various art forms since childhood. For the last decade, I have been primarily focused on acrylics and I began showing my work in 2017.

I use paint to reveal beauty, emotion, and imagination. My interpretations are layered on the canvas with boldly painted strokes and tender wisps of color, creating tension, texture, evocative and sometimes ethereal abstract works.

Paint is used to deconstruct personal experience and with the movement of color, shape, and space, I craft dynamic interpretations of real and imagined experiences. I often use pencil, charcoal, and paint markers to add the ribbon-like scribbles that are a reminder of that mysterious and magical part of our imaginations that cannot be caged.

I was raised in New England, surrounded by an artist mother and her artist friends, where devotion to beauty and creativity was a natural part of everyday life. The aliveness that I experienced through creative expression became absorbing and essential as breathing.

As a young adult, I chose practical over passion, receiving both a BA and MBA degree from Simmons College and Babson College in Massachusetts.  I spent several career years pursuing writing, marketing, and event planning, squeezing the creative out of work in both the corporate and non-profit worlds.

I have moved across the country several times, traveled extensively and more recently worked in the spiritual/healing arts as a Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, and Teacher.  Indeed, everything is energy and all creative expression is healing.

My painting practice is contemplative and intuitive.  

I believe art and beauty are healing.  

A recent move to the Scottsdale, Arizona area has initiated a deep listening and an exciting exploration of all new beginnings. It is my intention, as I navigate my new world to share it through my creativity, allowing myself to be seen and holding space for others to do the same.

I seek to illuminate, explore and celebrate the narratives of our shared experiences, our true essence, and express the space before thought.
